Undergraduate programmes >
Undergraduate programmes at MBS are designed to build on a previous level of certification, culminating in the Bachelor of Theology. This approach allows students to gradually enhance their qualifications and skills while managing their ministry or work commitments. Candidates can also apply directly into Bachelor’s or Master’s programmes if they already possess the required qualifications.
Certificate of Mission Studies (30 credits)
This is a one-year programme of full-time study which provides theological and cross-cultural mission training. Students can complete the Certificate through regular semester classes or in modular courses. Ideal as preparation for those intending to serve in missions whether locally or abroad.
Certificate in Biblical Studies (30 credits)
Coursework for this Certificate is equivalent to one year of full-time study or half the required coursework for the Certificate in Theology. Suitable for those who are considering the possibility of further theological study but who want to start with small steps first.
Certificate in Theology (57 credits) ( more… )
This two-year programme builds on the Certificate in Biblical Studies to provide the student with a general but rounded and biblically-based understanding of the Christian faith, with a basic introduction to practical ministry.
Diploma in Theology (81 credits) ( more… )
The Diploma in Theology can be obtained by adding on a third year to the Certificate in Theology. The additional 30 units also involve extra practical ministry training.
Bachelor of Theology (108 credits) ( more... )
The Bachelor of Theology is the fourth year of study beyond the Diploma in Theology. It allows students to delve more deeply into Electives to define and strengthen their theological focus.
