Undergraduate programmes at MBS are designed to build on a previous level of certification, culminating in the Bachelor of Theology. This approach allows students to gradually enhance their qualifications and skills while managing their ministry or work commitments.
Candidates may apply directly into Bachelor’s or Master’s programmes if they possess the required qualifications.
Bachelor of Theology (108 credits)
The Bachelor of Theology is the fourth year of study beyond the Diploma in Theology. It enables students to deepen their biblical and theological understanding, explore advanced topics through a range of electives, and integrate their learning with practical ministry experience.
Bachelor of Ministry (108 credits)
The Bachelor of Ministry is also the fourth year of study following the Diploma in Theology. It enables students to develop practical ministry skills, engage thoughtfully with contemporary ethical and religious issues, and gain hands-on experience through practical ministry experience.
Diploma in Theology (81 credits)
The Diploma in Theology can be obtained by adding a third year to the Certificate in Theology. It enables students to build a solid theological foundation, develop a deeper understanding of ministry in diverse contexts, and apply their learning through practical ministry experience.
Certificate in Theology (57 credits)
This two-year programme provides a general yet well-rounded, biblically-based understanding of the Christian faith, with a basic introduction to practical ministry. It enables students to establish a strong biblical and theological foundation, grow in personal spiritual formation, and gain initial hands-on practical ministry experience.
Certificate in Mission Studies (30 credits)
This is a one-year full-time study programme that provides theological and cross-cultural mission training. Students can complete the Certificate through regular semester classes or modular courses. It is ideal as preparation for those intending to serve in missions whether locally or abroad.
Certificate in Biblical Studies (30 credits)
The coursework for this Certificate is equivalent to one year of full-time study or half the required coursework for the Certificate in Theology. It is suitable for those considering the possibility of further theological study but who want to begin with smaller steps.
