Statement of Faith

The Seminary accepts without reservation the revelation of God as given in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. Here are summaries of the doctrines which we regard as crucial to the understanding and proclamation of the Gospel and to the practice of Christian life:

The unity of the three co-eternal Persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Trinity.

The sovereignty of God in creation, revelation, redemption and final judgement.

The divine inspiration and entire trustworthiness of Holy Scripture, both the Old and New Testaments as originally given, and its supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

The universal sinfulness and guilt of Man since the fall rendering him subject to God’s wrath and condemnation.

Redemption from the guilt, penalty, dominion and pollution of sin solely through the sacrificial death (as our Representative and Substitute) of the Lord Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God.

The bodily Resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and Ascension to the right hand of God the Father.

The presence, indwelling and power of the Holy Spirit in the work of regeneration and sanctification.

The justification of the sinner by the grace of God through faith in Christ alone.

The one Holy Universal Church which is the body of Christ and to which all believers belong.

The obligation of the Church to observe the two Sacraments instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ, namely, water baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

The expectation of the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the final establishment of His Kingdom of which there shall be no end.
