Course Description

A historical, literary and theological survey of wisdom and poetic literature (Job-Song of Songs); the major and minor prophets (Isaiah-Malachi).

Course Objectives

  1. Have a firm grasp of the structure, content and theological themes from Job to Malachi.
  2. Understand poetic and wisdom literature (Job-Song of Songs) within the context of Israel’s worship, experience and knowledge of Yahweh.
  3. Explain the significant roles of the prophets in the history of Israel and Judah
  4. Interpret various forms of prophetic proclamations.
